Our M&E team are seeking a Junior/Graduate Electrical Engineer. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary design team, assisting in the design, specification, and delivery of electrical systems within buildings. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills and gain hands-on experience across all project stages.

 Role Purpose

Our M&E team are seeking a Junior/Graduate Electrical Engineer. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary design team, assisting in the design, specification, and delivery of electrical systems within buildings. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills and gain hands-on experience across all project stages.

 

 Key Responsibilities

·       Assist in the design and specification of electrical building services, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, data, and security systems.

·       Produce drawings, calculations, and technical reports under supervision.

·       Support senior engineers in delivering projects on time and within budget.

·       Undertake site surveys and attend client and design team meetings.

·       Learn and apply relevant standards, regulations, and sustainable design practices.

·       Use design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation tools (e.g. Amtech, Dialux).

 

Essential Requirements

·       Degree (or HNC/D) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.

·       Strong interest in electrical building services and sustainable design.

·       Good understanding of engineering principles and attention to detail.

·       Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·       Competent in Microsoft Office and eager to learn relevant design software.

Desirable Requirements

·       Some experience gained through internships, placements, or project work.

·       Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Amtech software.

·       Working knowledge of the IET Wiring Regulations.

·       A full UK driving licence, with unrestricted use of a car is essential to enable site visits.
