We have recently completed our role as CDM Co-ordinator and Construction Safety Monitor on the £6 million development of the Kensington Health Centre, Liverpool on behalf of the Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership (LSHP). The project is the latest of Liverpool PCT’s investments into new primary and community care facilities across the city.
The Kensington Neighbourhood Health Centre is a brand new state-of-the-art facility which will bring together a wide range of services and make them available to patients living in the Kensington, Edge Hill and Fairfield areas of the City. These will include; GP’s, ante-natal and baby clinics, phlebotomy, vaccinations, as well as minor surgery, dental services and a pharmacy.
This is the most recent project Edmond Shipway has completed on behalf of the LSHP since they were first appointed in 2005. Previous schemes have included new build Neighbourhood Health and Treatment Centres across the city as part of the Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) framework as well as numerous alteration and refurbishment projects on behalf of Liverpool Primary Care Trust.
Commenting on the scheme, David Stevenson, our Managing Director said:
“Our project safety team has an excellent track record which is demonstrated by our long-standing and positive relationship with the Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership. Thanks to significant investment, Liverpool is steadily moving towards having one of the most comprehensive, integrated and accessible health services in the country and we are delighted to be associated with its development.”
